2021 – 2022 COLLECTION

Family roots

The inspiration for this collection comes from the story of my grandmother’s
immigration from Morocco in the 1950s. She dreamed of coming to Israel to receive an
education and work as a teacher, but found herself working as a laborer instead.
My grandmother’s story is the story of many women who immigrated to Israel.

As I researched the stories and looked through photos of groundbreaking women
through those years, I found the source of inspiration in creating the collection.

Women like Ronit Alkabetz, Esther Ofarim, Jacqueline Kahanov, Shoshana Shababo, and
many others who have fulfilled themselves are my private war to exclude their work from the
political collective memory.[1]

In this collection, I used natural fabrics, silk satin, silk chiffon, laces, wool, and straw.

The color is in shades of white and off-white, with red and beige.

SLOW FASHION

SLOW FASHION

One of the guiding principles in my studio is slow fashion, the design and production processes are carried out while maintaining working conditions and being conscious of the environment. The product of slow fashion is quality clothes that last for many years if not decades. Custom-made design and production, maximum utilization of the fabrics, without the need for excessive inventory. In the studio we follow a zero waste theory meaning,  we produce bags and hats from all leftover materials.
